Kinik Village, part of Bilecik’s Pazaryeri district, hosted the second Kinik Caravan Fest from July 3-8. With participants arriving from across Turkey and abroad, 437 caravans and more than 50 tents gathered for six days at Golbasi Camp Caravan Park.
In support of the 2026 Seyh Edebali Year events, traditional games such as tug-of-war, egg-and-spoon race, and sack race were held at the festival, and soup was served to participants on weekend mornings. This year, for the first time, writers from the Bozuyuk City Council also contributed to the event with literary talks.
Hikmet Guven, head of the Onbir Onbir Bilecikliler Group which organizes the event, said their goal is to promote the cultural and tourism potential of Kinik Village, Pazaryeri, and Bilecik. He noted the event is run entirely on a volunteer basis and that they hope for support from public institutions in the coming years. The third edition of the festival is planned for next year.
